Same-Day Emergency Dental Care
Tooth and dental pain can indicate a wide range of potential issues, but in every case, seeking treatment as soon as possible is the best way to address it. To help ensure that we can provide the care you need when you need it, we can often schedule a same-day appointment for most types of dental emergencies.
What an Emergency Means
- Sudden tooth pain – Sudden and severe tooth pain is one of the most common signs of a dental emergency. Depending on its cause, you may or may not be aware of why your tooth hurts. However, it will only grow worse until you visit our office for an emergency diagnosis and treatment.
- Fractured or broken tooth – If your tooth fractures or breaks due to accidental trauma, chronic teeth-grinding, or more, then it can lead to severe tooth pain as well as diminished bite function. The damage to your tooth will also grow worse until you treat it, which may involve placing a custom-designed dental crown over your tooth.
- Knocked-out tooth – Accidental trauma that knocks your tooth out of its socket is usually obvious, and how you respond can determine the future of your oral health. If possible, you can collect and rinse the tooth off with warm water, then store it in a small container of milk. Bring the tooth to your emergency appointment, and we may be able to replant it. If not, then we can custom-design an appropriate restoration to replace it.
